We are so excited that summer is finally here. Living this far up north is not fun when it comes to the weather. But, luckily we are moving in just four weeks! I am definitely on the countdown and so is Patrick as he will soon graduate. I've probably packed up about 10 big tupperware boxes, but I still have much to do.
Easton tells everyone he is two even though his birthday isn't until July 26. He is a cutie and so full of energy that I get exhausted just watching him gallop around the house and run into walls and doors. I think he's training to be a football player at the young age of almost 2. His favorite things to do are read stories, ("No David" is his current favorite), tease Mommy, and play outside. I'm quite jealous of his beautiful olive skin that seems to go a bronze tan the second he steps out in the sun. No fair! :) Easton has graduated to a big boy's bed, and as long as he has his John Deere tractor (ator), his train (choo choo), and his car (brrrmmm brrmmm), he sleeps very well. It's not surprising that I have been blessed with two true blue boys when I am such a dyed in the pink girl. The Lord definitely has a sense of humor!
Tate is growing so big so fast. He's now in the 25th percentile for his height and the 60th percentile for his weight--a darling little marshmallow indeed. I must add though, that this doesn't compare to Easton who is way over the 100th percentile for both height and weight. I thought that when Tate was born, I would finally have a small baby (he was only 6 lb. 2 oz. compared to Easton's 8 lb. 4 oz.). But alas, he is growing to be ever more like his brother. And even though it is really hard for me to carry them around, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Patrick is enduring to the end in his last semester of studies. And while he's more than fed up with Physics, I am glad to see that his Kinesiology class is so enjoyable for him seeing as he is going into Physical Therapy. And for those of you, (like myself), who don't know what Kinesiology is, Webster's says it is "the study of the mechanics of body movements." I don't know how memorizing bones and muscles would be fun for anybody, but Patrick loves it and I am just so grateful that he does since this is what he will be studying for the next three years in grad school.
As for myself, I am thoroughly enjoying staying home and being a mom. I am so grateful I have my teaching degree in my back pocket, but I am also so glad I don't need to use it right now. We are pretty poor, but we have come to grow very close to the Lord in relying on Him, and we only know that will continue as we live on student loans for the next three years.
