The First Tooth-Losing.

He's had a wiggly tooth for a few weeks now and has delighted in telling (and showing) everyone around.  But the day he bit into an apple left his right bottom front tooth bent completely over.  So Daddy pulled it out.
And then Easton felt all queasy and sick and had to lay on the bathroom floor with his feet on the tub for ten minutes.  Then he laid by Papa on the couch until he finished recovering.

And this was the apple that started it all...

Cougar & Tate

Because of this little friendship, Tate gets most of his squeezes and hugs out of his system, which makes Maylie (and all the rest of us) much happier.
We got Cougar fixed two weeks ago and they clipped her ear because of the "feral cat voucher" we had.  It made me so sad.

{Adorable tail}
She is the sweetest, most gentle cat I have ever owned.  She starts purring the minute she sees us and lets the boys maul her around, push her in the stroller and wagon, and even carry her by the neck.  She spends her days chasing bugs and bumblebees and her nights sleeping in the folds of the big blue quilt we laid out for her on the porch.
We love our little Cougar.

School Portraits 2012.

Last week I did a photoshoot for my little ones.  (And amazingly it only took about an hour).
They were absolute gems.

And so, without further ado,

Presenting....

Miss Maylie Grace
~ 9 months

Sir Easton Patrick
~ 5 years

And...

Master Tate Wess
~ almost 4 years

And this one too...just because it's cute!
The End.

Windows.

Our unstained door from the outside:

These pictures hardly do the beautiful, grand windows justice!

Door from the inside:

Master window (which also looks much bigger in real life):

Windows are one of my favorite features of a house!  I love light and I love having a view....

Etched in permanent marker.

On our floor we etched in our family and personal mottoes--the themes that all lace together to form the undergirding of our lives.  Soon they will be covered with carpet and tile, but every time we enter the thresholds of our front door and bedroom doors, we will know that we stand on holy ground.

Framing and Trusses.

Our house is progressing and now that I drive to pick up Easton from school every day, we make an almost daily trip to see how it's coming.

First was the framing...

And then the trusses...

Oh how i adore the 6 ft. wide, 5 ft. tall windows in the dining room and great room, and the 4 ft. by 5 ft. windows in the daylight basement.  I can only imagine how beautiful it will be to see the light streaming through these windows every day and the view is breathtaking.

And here is the view from my kitchen window...

Windows all ready...

Stairs going up to our theater...

Theater...

Looking down at our car from the theater...

 Going back down...

And now our house finally looks like a house--at least a wooden one.  And I can't believe that less than 2 months ago all eye could see was an empty spot with big mounds of dirt all overgrown with weeds.  It's a miracle to me, who understands so little of building and things like this.
