It began as any other day, but as I kissed my little 5-year-old boy good night, emotions filled my heart. Where has the time gone and how is he so grown-up? It's just a few more weeks until kindergarten, and it hit me strong while I was praying on this lovely morning.

Easton, you've been such a joy to me these past five years. I can't believe the maturity of your testimony or your innate desire to serve and make other people happy. Your ability to make me laugh and cry tears of joy has yet to be matched by another. I can't believe you are sounding out and reading small words. I can't believe you can count to 100 and aced your kindergarten pre-assessment. I still want you to be little, but at the same time, I am so happy for the sweet boy you've become. I just hope and pray that I can be the mother to match my mountain, my sweet, strong, perfect little mountain...Easton P. Johnson.
