It's hard to say how much the little things matter. And how my day turned completely around when, unexpectedly, sweet Patrick walks in the house at lunchtime with flowers in hand, and in my favorite color at that. They warmed our table until full bloom and now they hang from a shelf drying away, preserving their beauty for us to enjoy all winter long.
