When it was Conference.

The boys built a fort facing the TV and it reminded me of the people of King Benjamin casting up their tents with the doors facing the temple.

We gathered and listened and the boys colored with their Color Wonder kits.  Easton listened better than he ever has because every time he heard a particular word, he added a penny to his cup, to use inbetween sessions at the General Conference Store.

And as we listened to the words of our beloved prophet and leaders, and as Easton identified each apostle correctly, I marveled at how they are growing right up.  And I hope and pray that they are growing up unto the Lord.

A special feeling swelled within me during the first session...seeing my family gathered around me in the strength of the Lord...knowing how very important this weekend is to my husband and me...and how it is becoming so important to my children's little testimonies as well...it was a reverent, awe-inspiring feeling and I thought to myself, This must be a slice of heaven...

What a wonderful weekend! I loved Easton and Tate's fort and the symbolism of having the door facing the temple like King Benjamin's people! Those were special weekends never to be forgotten in our family and I am so thankful that the legacy of love for General Conference and hearing the word of God continues in your sweet family! We love you all so much!
