Summer Love

To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter... to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life. ~John Burroughs
Summer has already been full of the simple and sweet and savory.  A picnic with Patrick....(too bright for any other pictures)

...arm wrestling and Indian leg wrestling with Grandpa, Grandma, and Sadie (all captured on video thankfully!)
P.S. We're not exactly sure who won...

...Running through the sprinklers again and again...

...lots of visits to parks, tin foil art, walks to the railroad tracks, summer planning, bing cherries from our tree, a tea party (pictures to follow), homemade playdough, a trip to the Bookmobile, and even a baby rattlesnake to join us...this part wasn't so fun. (Story to follow)

Every weekday we hope to do a small and simple summer activity and each Saturday I have marked down on the calendar a super-fun family activity to try.  I hope to take pictures of each one.

It's going to be a brilliant summer.

It has been thus far. :)
