First Swim

We thought it would be fun to end our lovely day with our boys with a trip to the local swimming pool.
I haven't been swimming--in a swimming pool--for five or six years!
We bought the boys blue tubes that they wear around their middles.
{Patrick calls them tutus rather mockingly.  I think they look like little blue donuts.}

We had a such a fantastic swim.  Much to our surprise, Easton was a little terrified of the water for a few minutes and clung on to Patrick saying he wanted to get out.  Tate, on the other hand, turned into a little fish the second he got in the water.  He splashed and kicked and after a few minutes of playing, he didn't even want us to hold on to him anymore.  He would struggle out of our grip and swim around.  Easton eventually got used to it after we pretended he was a motor boat and he zoomed around a bit.  And then they both jumped off the side too many times to count.  They were so sad when we left...especially Tate.  He cried and cried and tried to run away and jump back in the water.  I didn't bring my camera, but we're going to go swimming at a water park on Friday and I'll be sure to take pictures.

Here are my little fish after they've had a nice warm bath and are enjoying crackers and milk before their sweet slumber.
